A UK independent brand, designing premium body pillows since 2014. Here is how we got here.
One half of this partnership was deep in a demanding senior career — construction, real estate, the kind of work that consumes everything. But something had already been triggered. Reading about Amazon over breakfast that morning, we decided then and there: we were going to sell pillows to support pregnant women. We chose our name at the kitchen table. Sanggol — a word that means baby — because it captured exactly the feeling we wanted to create.
What started as a husband and wife project — with family pitching in wherever they could — grew into something real. Our U-shaped pregnancy pillow became Amazon's Choice and reached the top of page one in our category. We were still combining the business with full-time employment, building something alongside everything else.

People struggle to sleep comfortably at every stage of life. So we designed the J-shaped and C-shaped body pillows from scratch — shaped around real sleeping positions and real bodies. Then we patented them. Not adapted from existing shapes. Genuinely created.

For a time, the business gave us that freedom. Then, like many small businesses, we faced a difficult period. Things did not go as planned.
