  • How to make a claim and what you’ll need to provide

What’s Covered – Examples of Manufacturing Defects

These are genuine faults in materials, construction, or design — not caused by how the pillow is used.

Covered Early (0–3 Months After Purchase)

  • Zip breaks or detaches under normal use – caused by misaligned or poor construction.
  • Filling bunches or separates excessively – indicates internal design flaw.
  • Persistent chemical smell (after airing for 7–10 days) – due to poor or contaminated materials.
  • Pillow collapses or flattens too quickly – suggests inferior filling or poor construction.
  • Visible fabric defects – holes, fraying, or weak spots noticed within first few uses.

Covered Later (3–24 Months After Purchase)

  • Filling breaks down into dust or hard patches – sign of low-quality material degradation.
  • Internal lining or baffle issues – twisting or separating that affects shape/function.
  • Severe filling shift over time (even with care) – indicates design flaw in baffling or filling choice.

❌ What’s Not Covered – Normal Use or Misuse

Your pillow is built to last, but like any comfort item, it will naturally age with use. The following are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered:

  • Pilling or thinning of fabric after multiple washes
  • Stains, spills, or odours from use
  • Zip damage caused by force or incorrect washing
  • Pet damage (scratches, bites, etc.)
  • Deformation from being stored compressed for extended periods

When Should a Fault Appear?

These are general timeframes for when a manufacturing issue would typically become noticeable:

Defect Type Typical Timeframe
Factory faults (zips, fabric defects) Within 1–3 months
Structural issues (loss of shape, internal lining faults) Within 3–12 months
Material breakdown (filling degradation, chemical odour) Within 6–24 months
Filling movement that affects comfort Within 6–12 months
